What is a Guru?

A guru is an individual with a theory or philosophy of living who popularizes and communicates his or her beliefs through seminars, books, and other products. Some gurus tackle the topic of finance, while others look at productivity, motivation, or healthy living.

About the Editors

Flexo is the anonymous blogger behind Consumerism Commentary. His background is in music education and business, and he has a distaste for cult-like motivational speakers, especially those who try to simplify the world and dismiss with poor arguments like “Shut up,” and “If you don’t believe, I don’t need to convince you,” those with opposing viewpoints. Yes, some would consider Flexo a “racket.”

While he’s not standing up and arguing with poorly-trained seminar leaders trying to recruit crowds to buy some expensive product with little value, he plays piano and guitar and runs a countless amount of website projects.

agleason is the blogger behind Young and Broke. She has not yet edited this page to add her bio.

Tim is the blogger behind My Money Forest. Personal finance and politics are the two major areas of personal and professional study for Tim. Growing up with a hard-working single Mom taught him the value of money and responsible financial managment. Among other things, Tim enjoys running, movies and spending time with his girlfriend and dog.

Vince is the blogger behind Investorial. He has not yet edited this page to add his bio.
